Biographical Sketch:
Born in the 'Long Point' district of Ontario. Parents from NJ; mother, Rachel Morgan, was niece to Gen. Morgan of the Revolution. Father was Samuel Axford. Parents settled in Shelby, MI until 1833 then moved to a farm in Oxford, MI, the 3rd to settle in that twp. Died of paralysis.
