Biographical Sketch:
He was the son of migrant workers and grew up in Clinton Co., MI. He served as an officer for over 27 years in the US Army (9 years), Army Reserves (9 years), and National Guard, including active duty in support of Operation Desert Storm at Fort Benning, GA. He held the rank of Colonel in the Michigan Army National Guard and was assigned as the Director of Intelligence for the Michigan Guard. He was decorated with the Meritorious Service Medal, 4 Army Commendation Medals, 4 Army Achievement Medals, and 2 joint service medals. He served as a legislative aide and chief of staff for several members of the Michigan Senate. He taught at the Laingsburg Christian School and territory manager for the National Federation of Independent Business..
