Biographical Sketch:
Moved to Desmond [now Port Huron], MI in 1825 with his father's family. In 1830, they moved to a farm in Brownsville, NY until 1839. He taught for a time after finishing school. He returned to Michgian in 1844 and worked in Clyde until 1849 when he and his brother bought a firm that included a saw mill, grist mill and pine lands. He moved to a farm in Port Huron township in 1863. He was a Whig before becoming a Republican. He held many town offices. Died at 101, according to Crossman. The above dates do not support this.
