Biographical Sketch:
He was the son of General William and Apamsia (Granger) Burnett. His mother was the daughter of Gen. Granger, of Revolutionary fame. He brought his family to Michigan in 1835. He held all town offices including supervisor of Scio Township and was justice of the peace. At the time of his death he was treasurer of the Washtenaw County Agricultural and Horticultural Society.
