Served 1917-1919 as Lieutenant in the Engineers & was Lieutenant in War Department General Staff & a Battalion Commander in England & France, 1940-45. elected to the State Senate at a special election and re-elected in 1946; elected to fill a vacancy in the House of Representatives in March, 1952 and re-elected at the regular elections in 1952, 1954 and 1956.
