Biographical Sketch:
Son of William and Anna (Gale) Case of Livingston County, NY. He built the first hotel, grist-mill, and sawmill in Manchester in 1832. He was elected Supervisor in May of 1834.He was a representative from Washtenaw County to the first State Constitutional Convention in 1835. He was appointed the first Justice in Manchester in 1833 by the Territorial Governor and served until 1837 and then served again in 1840. He was the moderator for the first Bridgewater Township meeting April 7, 1834. He moved to Hennepin County, Minnesota in 1851 and was one of the pioneer founders of Minneapolis. Member of the Masons.
