Biographical Sketch:
He immigrated from Poland in 1904. For a time he was manager of his father's grocery store. In 1921 he was appointed assistant chief inspector in the General Aluminum & Brass works, and resigned in 1923. In 1924, he was appointed to the Hamtramck fire department and resigned in 1926. Councilman from 1934-39; appointed mayor of Hamtramck in 1939, by the Hamtramck Council and re-elected in 1941.

Notable Facts:
While a state representative, he was indicted by a Federal grand jury on a charge of fraudulently getting his citizenship papers in 1927.
