Background
Education:
Midland, Michigan, public schools. He attended the Detroit Business College, and later received his law degree from the Detroit College of Law in 1901. He than took post graduate work in literature and law as a special student at the University of Michigan.
Biographical Sketch:
He commenced the practice of law in Midland, serving as circuit court commissioner and than as prosecuting attorney for two terms and city attorney for five years. In 1913 he moved to Bat City, where he enjoyed the general practice of law. He was city attorney of Bay City from 1915 to 1920. Lived on a twenty-five acre fruit and truck farm in Hampton township, Bay county.
