Biographical Sketch:
Of American descent. Son of William and Elizabeth (Renner) Boussum. He farmed for a few years before becoming a foreman at Lamb Knit Goods Co. in Colon for 13 years. During this time he served 2 terms as Colon Township treasurer then was chosen justice of the peace. He was elected treasurer of St. Joseph Co. in 1904 and 1906. He also held the office of the President of Centerville village and worked as chairman of the Republican County Committee during the 1908 campaign. He moved to Grand Rapids around 1914. At the time of his death he was bookkeeper for the Commercial Savings Bank. Member of the Masons.
