Biographical Sketch:
Son of Mary (Campbell) & Gamaliel Waldo. Of Scottish & French descent. He grew up on a farm. Moved to NY state, 1812, settling in Cayuga Co., 1815. Retired from the practice of medicine in 1833 due to ill health. Moved to Port Byron, NY and became a merchant. In 1837, he settled in Albion, MI and built mills at various points. After leaving office in MI his wife died, he lost his sight & his property. Lived with his son-in-law W.V. Morrison. He was there in 1860.
