Biographical Sketch:
At eleven years of age, he came to the United States and located at Pontiac, Michigan. In April 1888, he went to Detroit, where he worked for seven and one-halh years at the chandelier and tiling business, starting on his own account in January, 1896. He became head of the Barton-Netting Company in 1905, which was later changed to the C. J. Netting Company. He was the head of this company untill the fall of 1923, when he became interested in the Netting Land Company, builders of high grade workmen,s homes in Detroit.

Republican and was elected to the legislature in 1924 and 1926, November 6, 1928, by a plurality of 95,657, and re-elected November 4, 1930,
