Settled in Mason, MI in 1837; member of the Michigan State Senate 7th District, 1847-1848; moved to Lansing in 1850

Notable Facts:
Named the village of Mason, MI after Gov. Mason; helped in locating the capital at Lansing George Coe contested his Sen. seat in 1846, so Danforth was not given the oath, although his name appears on the roster in the Manual. On January 15, 1846 it was resolved that Coe take the seat.
