Biographical Sketch:
Of German & French descent. Represented Sanilac County, Mich. Divine was a member of the Michigan State House of representatives from the Sanilac District, 1855-56. He was the delegate to Michigan State Constitutional Convention, 1867 and a delegate to the Republican National Convention from Michigan, 1868. Divine was also a member of the Michigan state Constitutional Commission from the 7th District in 1873.

Notable Facts:
In 1884 he moved to Fairfield township, Lenawee County MI. Served as supervisor for twelve successive years.
