He received his education in the schools of Cambridgeshire.
Biographical Sketch:
In 1887 he came to Whitehall, Michigan, where he was employed on a farm for a while. He sailed the Great Lakes for three years, and was an engineer for eleven years. Was postmaster of Whitehall for four years, also village assessor and township supervisor, and also publisher of the Whitehall Forum. He is a member of the M. E. church and of the F. & A. M., I.O.O.F., and M. W. of A. lodges. According to House Concurrent Resolution 21, 1931 Senate Journal, p. 154 he died 2/21/1931 in Whitehall.

Republican and was elected to the legislature in 1924 and 1926, and re-elected November 6, 1928, without opposition.
