Biographical Sketch:
Son of Robert and Berthania Harper. Came to Michigan in about 1835. He served as supervisor of Lodi for 15 years and was justice of the peace for at least 2 terms. A few months before his death, he moved from his Lodi farm to a home in Saline.

Notable Facts:
He raised Spanish Merino sheep. Obituary in the Ann Arbor Argus gives place of death as Saline; MIDeaths says Lodi. Lodi is in Saline Township.
