Biographical Sketch:
Representative from Lenawee County in 1848 and 1850. Born in Farmington, New York in 1817, Dennis was an attorney and banker. He came to Michigan in 1827 and settled in Adrian. After living in Adrian for twenty-five years, Dennis moved to Coldwater, where he led the Democratic Party and was repeatedly its candidate for State and local offices.
