Biographical Sketch:
Son of David R. Mary E. (Sargent) Dixon. He moved to Lenawee County, MI in 1838. He later moved his family to Michigan, where he taught school until 1854. He moved to Charlevoix in 1855 and was one of its earliest settlers' platting the community for further settlement. He served as Justice of the Peace, County clerk, County Surveyor, and Superintendent of Schools in Charlevoix and its representative from 1863-64.
