Biographical Sketch:
Son of American parents; Hudson Peter and Nancy J. (Sheldon) [or Mary Jane (Cruise)] Covert, early pioneers of Oakland county. He was Oakland County's prosecuting attorney 1905-1910. He also served as Oakland County's circuit court commissioner (3 terms) and as superintendent of the poor for about 3 years.
