Biographical Sketch:
Enlisted in the United States army in the 122nd aero squadron and served from 1918 to 1919 in the world war. Passed civil service examination and joined the Detroit city fire department 1919 to 1920. Employed by the Michigan Central police department for one year. Took real estate course and employed by Pierce Realty Co. as manager of a branch office . in 1925 was elected constable in the 9th ward of Detroit and served ten years.
