He served as sheriff, county road commissioner and alderman , has been chairman of the Republican city committee, and a member of the Republican county committee at various times during 30 years. He served in the National Guard and was captain of the Saginaw company for 7 years. He served on the staff of Governor Luce. Member of the Elks and the Masons.
