Biographical Sketch:
Son of Matthew Lucas and Theresa Krupich, he came to Calumet, Michigan, with his parents when about 4 years of age. After graduating from law school, he practiced law in Calumet, MI. He was appointed the Village Attorney of Red Jacket for 2 terms; was elected Circuit Court Commissioner of Houghton County, November 3, 1908, and resigned that office in the spring of 1910.
