Biographical Sketch:
Born in Croatia to Matthew Lucas and Theresa Krupich, he came to Calumet, Michigan, with his parents when about four years of age. After graduating from law school, he practiced law in Calumet, MI. He was appointed the Village Attorney of Red Jacket for two terms; was elected Circuit Court Commissioner of Houghton County, November 3, 1908, and resigned that office in the spring of 1910.
