Biographical Sketch:
He owned a small business. He was a board member of the Michigan Farm Bureau and the St. Paul Farm Credit Bureau, where he also served for 2 years as chairman. He was vice president of the Michigan Pork Producers and was appointed in 1991 by the Gov. Engler to the Natural Resources Commision; he was chair from 1992-96. He was a member of the Rotary Club's Cultural Exchange Team to Japan. DeVuyst also belonged to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, Michigan Bear Hunters Club and the North American Hunting Club.
