Biographical Sketch:
Of Scottish descent. Son of Cyran T. and Diantha (Marshall) Morford. His early life was spent on a farm and at age 15 he took on the sole management of the farm work. His family moved to Caro in his 18th year. In 1900, he went to Gaylord and purchased a furniture business with an undertaking business with R. H. Russell. 10 months later, he bought out Mr. Russell's share. Served as village president 4 terms.
Also was elected director and also served as treasurer of Gaylord Motor Car Company.
