Son of James & Ester (Demary) Pearson. Of English descent. Moved to Oakland Co., MI, 1870. Went to Chandler twp., Charlevoix Co., MI at age 24, c.1881; taught school for 3 yrs. Interested in farming & lumbering; maintained potato warehouses in Boyne Falls. Served as sheriff & register of deeds. Held several local offices. Worked as a travelling salesman selling farm implements. Opened a lumber mill, 1896. President of the Northern Brick Co. Died in 1950

Served in the state House & Senate. Member of the Masons; Odd Fellows; Maccabees.
