Biographical Sketch:
Son of Stephen H. and Helen(Hill) Symonds. His family moved to Paris, MI in 1878. He first went to Nadeau, MI, in the Upper Peninsula, in 1899. He was principal of the high school there for 2 years before returning to Ann Arbor where he graduated with a law degree in 1894. He returned to Nadeau and was again high school principal for a year before moving to Powers in 1904 to practiced law. Member of the Knights of Pythias; Modern Woodmen of America; and the Independent Order of Yeomen.
