Biographical Sketch:
Of German descent. Son of John and Katherine (Church) Unsoeld. He apprenticed as an ironmolder with J.B. Wilson and traveled as a journeyman for about 3 years before working for Detroit Stove works. He retired, after 38 years, from there in 1904 as superintendent of the plant, a post he had held since 1892.
