She was founder of the Mack Alive, Detroit Coalition Against Billboard Advertising of Alcohol and Tobacco, Partnership for a Drug-Free Detroit; selected as the State of Michigan Director for the National Foundation for Women Legislators, October 2014; member, Wayne County Commission, 1987 to 1990; member, Detroit City Council, 1993 to 2009. She served on the Detroit City Council, 1993-2009 and Wayne County Commission, 1987-90.
