Biographical Sketch:
Son of Henry Baxter and Loretta Belle (Hopkins) Wolcott. His father was an Eaton Co. pioneer who settled near Onondaga in 1846 where he farmed until 1851. He then moved to the Albion area where he lived the rest of his life. In 1889 , while mayor of Albion , he assisted in organizing the Homestead Building and Loan Association and is now serving his twenty- fourth year as president . In 1893 he assisted in the organization of the Commercial and Savings Bank of Albion and was one of its directors. In 1900, he was also a wind mill manufacturer; in 1920, he was involved with insurance. He is a member of the Oddfellows and the K. O. T. M. M
