Biographical Sketch:
Of German descent. Son of Michael and Katherine (Graus) Angerer. 1865-69 studied carpentry, bridge building and architecture. 1869-75 built rail and highway bridges while living in Monroe. After 1875, manufactured lumber and charcoal in Exeter, MI. He bought a sawmill in Exeter in 1878; after operating it for several years, he sold it to his son Charles and became a merchant before moving on to farming. Served as justice of the peace 1884-88
