Early settler of Concord, moved to Jackson 1836. He was living in Sault Ste. Marie in 1850. He moved to Minnesota 1857; served in Minnesota state house, residence in St. Paul. Served there as Ramsey County, MN (County Superintendent of Schools) and Ramsey County, MN (County Commissioner.

Date of birth and exact date of death not known. Speaker of the House 1840. Deland gives death date as 1859. Minnesota legislative biographical site says he moved to Minnesota in 1857. Also indicates he was born in New York state in 1804
