Biographical Sketch:
She grew up in Southampton, Long Island, NY. She served as councilwoman for the city of Novi from 1985-93 and from 1995-96. She taught in Cleveland for the Ohio Public Schools from 1966-68 an was a school psychologist for the Novi Community Schools from 1980-96. Community activities included Novi Partners in Education, Novi Youth Forum, Community that Cares, Michigan 50’s Festival, Multi-Lakes Conservation Club, Chamber of Commerce (Novi, Huron Valley, South Lyon, West Bloomfield, Holly), Novi Educational Foundation, Jewish Family Services Mentor Connection Advisory Board.

Notable Facts:
Served in both chambers. She was the first female chair of the House Tax Policy Committee. She was chair of the Senate Finance Committee and ice-chair of the Senate Education Committee
