Biographical Sketch:
Son of George and Margaret (McGill) Hinkson. Moved to Worth Township, Saranac Co. [at that time part of Saint Clair Co.], MI with his family in fall 1845. He taught school winters for 12 years while breaking land for a new farm. He served as township clerk and school inspector for many years , and supervisor nine years , seven of which were consecutive including 1888. He has been chairman of the Board of Supervisors twice , and represented Sanilac county before the State Board of Equalization in 1886.
