Biographical Sketch:
He moved to Lapeer County in 1844. At 21, he went to Louisville, KY but returned after 6 months to farm. In 1868 he formed a parntership with Robert Hutton, creating a general merchandise business from which he retired in 1870. He moved to Metamora and built a large grain elevator and engaged in the grain trade until 1881. He served as township treasurer [1871 and 1879] and supervisor [1883]. Member of the Masons
