Biographical Sketch:
Son of James Freeman and Catherine (Forbes) Anderson. He was living in Bayhem, Ontario in 1861. At 20 years of age he was employed in one of the largest nurseries in the Province, and he remained until 1863 when he came to Newaygo Co., MI. Built Aetna flouring mills on White River and, in 1886 was involved in the building of the Crescent Mill in Fremont. Also engaged in logging and the manufacture of lumber and shingles. He represented the township of Denver on the Board of Supervisors for 6 years; supervisor and school director.
