Biographical Sketch:
Of Scottish descent. Son of William and Elizabeth (Harley) Aitkin. He worked as a clerk and bookkeeper until 1882 when he became a cashier at the Sanilac County Bank in Croswell. He was admitted to the bar, 1888; practiced law and engaged in banking. He moved to Gladwin in 1903. He was president of Croswell Milling Co., as well as the State Bank of Croswell and First State Bank of Gladwin.
