Biographical Sketch:
Born on his father's farm, 4 miles from Albion. Son of Timothy and Jane (Fisher) Hoaglin. He built a clothing store business in central Michigan beginning in 1875. He served as village trustee and president, each 2 terms, and township clerk 5 or 6 terms, also alderman, city treasurer and mayor of Albion. He was appointed postmaster in 1889. Member of the Odd Fellows
