Biographical Sketch:
Son of Watson Robinson. He is a merchant and manufacturer of lumber and shingles. His early life was passed in the Saginaws - attending school in East Saginaw and South Saginaw from the age of six to thirteen; then worked on a farm 3 years, when he went to live with a brother-in-law on a new farm in the township of Jonesfield, Saginaw County. At the age of 21, he was elected clerk of his township; the next year was defeated for supervisor. In 1867, he was elected supervisor and superintendent of schools and was reëlected to both these offices in 1868. He resigned these offices in July following to engage in the mercantile business at Vestaburg, Montcalm County. He was here elected supervisor in 1880 and held the position until 1884.

Notable Facts:
Find-a-Grave/headstone and death certificate give birth year as 1855, 1887 Manual says 1854. Diabetes was a contributing factor to his death.
