Biographical Sketch:
Jeremiah D. Williams came to Michigan with his father on a farm in Webster, Washtenaw Co., MI in 1828. He was appointed post master at Webster in 1839 and served as town supervisor, clerk, treasurer and justice. He was the auditor of the Washtenaw Fire Insurance Company for 10 years and was secretary of the County Pioneer Society. He was a Whig until 1854 when he became a Republican.
