Biographical Sketch:
Son of Ephraim Butts and Adeline (Hale) Bushnell. He went west at the age of 20, and followed the painter's trade 7 years. He returned to Michigan in 1876 and began farming. He farmed until 1902, when he became associated with E. M. Turner in a general furniture and undertaking business in Bronson. He served as supervisor many years. Member of the Masons.
