Biographical Sketch:
Of Irish ancestry. Son of Michael and Catherine (Duklow) Attridge. Raised on a farm. He came to Michigan around 1865. For a time, he worked in the great Comstock mines in Nevada. Later taught, then farmed. He served as clerk, justice of the peace, supervisor of his township, and was a member of the school board for 10 years.
