Biographical Sketch:
Son of John G. and Roberta H. (Burrows) Baillie. Of Scottish descent. He worked for Symons Bros. & Co., wholesale grocers, remaining with them 6 months, then entered the office of general traffic manager of the P. M. Railroad Co., remaining there until he entered the University of Michigan in 1900. During the summer months of 1901-03, he was employed in the Savings Bank of East Saginaw. He was admitted to the bar, 1903 and began practice in Saginaw. He moved to Detroit, 1921, to join the firm of Groesbeck, Sempliner, Kelly & Baillie until 1928. Remained in Detroit as a partner in other firms until 1944 when he returned to Saginaw. Asst. Attorney General of Michigan 1916-19. Member of the Masons, Knights Templar and BPOE [Elks]
