Biographical Sketch:
He came to Michigan with his parents, Ora E. and Ellen F. (Farley) Clark after the Civil War, settling on a farm in Grand Traverse Co. He lived for a time with an uncle in Illinois. His first job was at a sawmill. Next, he engaged in the meat and grocery business at Fife Lake, MI, moving to St. Ignace in 1886, and continued this business until 1903, when he took up the real estate business. He served as supervisor, mayor, and 3 terms as treasurer of St. Ignace city. Member of the Masons, Maccabees and Odd Fellows. He was living in Emmet Co. in 1910
