Biographical Sketch:
Son of Joseph and Sophronia (Coolidge) Fairbank. He enlisted in the army at 16, and served15 months with the3rd NY Cavalry. He came to Genesee County, MI in 1867. In the spring of 1906, he sold his farm and moved to the village of Mt. Morris. He served as township treasurer [2 years], supervisor [12 years], acting chairman of the board of supervisor [1 year], and a member of the building committee for their new court house in Flint.
