Came to America with his parents, Jacob and Minnie (Begaard or Bogard) Mol, in 1878 and settled in Kent County. After leaving school, he was with the Jacob Mol Company, of Grand Rapids, for 10 years. From about 1901-20 he had a building supply business. He served 6 terms on the common council and was president for 1 term.
