Biographical Sketch:
He studied law and was admitted to practice in Vermont. He came to Pontiac, MI in 1826, and entered practice. He was Prosecuting Attorney of Oakland County
in 1832. He continued in practice in Pontiac until 1854, when he moved to
Omaha, NE. He was a member of the first and second sessions of the Legis-
lature of that Nebraska, and took a prominent part in framing the laws now on the statute books. He was one of the three commissioners to codify the laws of Nebraska.
