Biographical Sketch:
Was born in Litchfield, N.Y., January 30, 1805. By occupation a merchant and farmer, in politics a Whig. He settled in Concord, Mich., about 1844, and resided there until his death, March 29, 1870. He commenced business life as a merchant, was afterwards a farmer and miller. He was Senator in 1853.
