Biographical Sketch:
Son of George and Marian L. Pack. He moved to Lexington, MI in 1849 and then to Alpena in 1870 where he worked in his father's lumber camps. His father died in 1874. He served as mayor of Alpena in 1872. In 1880, he formed a company with George N. Fletcher, Fletcher, PPack and Company. They owned timberlands and operated sawmills, wharves and vessels. He had additional interests with 2 of his brothers outside of the state of Michigan. He moved to Detroit about 1893 and was involved in the development of the Detroit Railway.
