Biographical Sketch:
Son of Leander [or Josiah] and Helen Mary (Beall) Osborn. Moved to Calvin, MI with his father in 1835. Became a teacher at 21, then read medicine with Dr. Bonine and attended medical school 1951-52. He began practicing in Vadalia, MI in 1853. He served as justice of the peace for many years and was a supervisor.
