Biographical Sketch:
Son of William J. and Miriam (Norton) McCracken. He taught district school for 7 years. He was superintendent of the Farmington high school for 7 years, and resigned to become editor and proprietor of the Farmington Enterprise for 2 years [1900-1902], then returned to farming. He served as village trustee, member of the school board for 2 years and for 4 years was a member of the board of county school examiners and township clerk. He was the first agricultural agent for Oakland County in 1916. He organized the Farmington State Bank.
