Biographical Sketch:
Son of Caleb and Caroline (Stewart) Parker. At the age of 17 he enlisted in the 100th regiment, New York volunteer infantry, served 2 years and 11 months, and was mustered out in September, 1865 with the rank of sergeant. He moved to Lenawee County, MI, February 1, 1867, and settled in Tecumseh, working on a farm until July, 1868, when he purchased a farm of 72 acres in Woodstock Township. He served as township clerk , justice of the peace , supervisor and register of deeds of Lenawee County.
